Product Description Utilize Nykos cutting edge TempSmartTM technology to keep your PlayStation 3 console running at optimal environmental conditions with the Intercooler TS. The Intercooler TS provides increased air flow away from the PS3 which allows the console to perform in a cooler, better ventilated environment ideal for cramped entrainment centers. No internal modification of the PlayStation 3 is required. Nykos TempSmart technology automatically powers on the Intercoolers fans when needed, and continue to cool the console even after the system has been powered down till a proper ambient temperature has been reached. The Intercoolers unique variable fan speed potentiometer allows you to easily raise or lower the fan speed weather your watching the latest BluRay release, or playing the most graphic intensive game. The Intercooler TS is powered by a sleek AC adaptor, requiring no batteries or USB cables to the console, allowing for a clean and easy installation, perfect for any home entertainment set up. The design of the Intercooler TS blends seamless with the design of the PlayStation 3 console, and works in both the horizontal and vertical position.

Just say NO--- money in the toilet for this December 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Normally I write much more nuanced or balanced reviews, but I can honestly say this is an extreme waste of money. Aside from the idea of paying roughly 5 times what the going rate is for a ps3 cooling device, this device is just poorly made. Its slick and shiny external case may give the impression that what is inside has substance, but it has the most cheaply made fans possible. The result is NOISE from the unit itself under BEST conditions and an EXTREME grinding noise from the cavatating fanblades under everything BUT the best conditions will have you chucking this annoying piece of garbage where it belongs. Do yourself a favor--spend less and simply by a passive usb cooler (any slight alleged advantage with large, aggressively driven fans will not be worth your sanity at trying to hear audio above the racket of this thing)
It looks great, but EXTREMELY LOUD December 1, 2008 The level of noise is unbearable!!
However, I liked the overall design. They bring the power button on/off to the front, and provide some knob to control fan speed. It blends almost seamless with the PS3.
I am shopping for a new solution. The design is great, but I just can't stand watching blu-ray or playing games at that level of noise.
Completely unnecessary, and potentially harmful November 28, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ever since Microsoft approved the shoddily-made Xbox 360, which is infamously prone to overheating, it opened the door wide open for third party peripheral makers to release all manner of "system cooling" peripherals that do absolutely nothing at all. Do not be fooled, these devices will not make your system any less prone to failureand the only console that has an overheating problem is the Xbox 360.
The PS3 and Wii are perfectly designed for expelling heat already, so the only thing that these "external cooling units" do is wear out the system's internal fans faster, and the same goes for the Xbox 360 (and there is no proof anywhere that these external cooling units make the Xbox 360 less prone to overheating/RRODing). Save your money and do not buy these ridiculous, unnecessary devices. They are nothing but a lame attempt by peripheral companies to cash in on consumer paranoia.
Cool,cool. November 16, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful

Great cooling device November 14, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This fan is the best on the market. It fits perfectly on the new 80gb model and is not as loud as some reviews might lead you to believe. It keeps the PS3 much cooler.
